Julian Ovenden

Perhaps better known to fans of the hit period drama television series Downton Abbey, it was Julian Ovenden's background in music that eventually opened the door for him to study musical theater, and subsequently forge a successful career as an actor. Born in Sheffield, England, as one of three children of the Reverend Canon John Ovenden, a former chaplain to Queen Elizabeth II, Julian Ovenden started singing as a child in the St. Paul's Cathedral Choir.
