Biography

Julie Berthollet is a French violinist and pianist known for her collaborations with her younger sister Camille in a string duo. She was born in Mauritius in 1997, and she moved with her family to Annecy, France when she was very young. Berthollet became interested in the violin when she was two years old; she began violin lessons when she was four, and started on piano in 2005. The following year, she won the first prize in the Vattelot-Rampal competition and she attended the Violonissimo school under Hong-Anh Shapiro.
