Biography
The product of Chasing Destiny, a BET reality competition created by Kelly Rowland, June's Diary is a contemporary pop-R&B group that came together in 2016. Rowland felt that R&B was in need of groups with makeup similar to that of her defunct multi-platinum act Destiny's Child, and sought to find "stars," not "reality stars." Narrowed down from 600 contestants, the vocal quintet consists of Gabrielle Carreiro, Brienna DeVlugt, Kristal Lyndriette (formerly of the short-lived RichGirl), Shyann Roberts, and Ashly Williams.
