American hard rock band Junkyard were formed in 1987 by a group of Los Angeles club circuit musicians. The original lineup featured David Roach (vocals), Chris Gates and Brian Baker (guitars), Clay Anthony (bass), and Patrick Muzingo (drums). Signing to Geffen Records, their 1989 self-titled debut album offered "trashy metallic boogie" somewhere between Great White, Dokken, and ZZ Top.
