Kathy Sledge

Along with her older siblings, vocalist and songwriter Kathy Sledge was part of Sister Sledge, a Philadelphia-based soul group that released their first single in 1971 and became a major disco act later in the decade. Kathy sang lead on several of the group's biggest hits, including "He's the Greatest Dancer," "We Are Family," "Got to Love Somebody," and "All American Girls." In 1992, she signed with Epic as a solo artist and worked with several well-regarded producers, including Barry Eastmond, Bryan Loren, and LeMel Humes.
