Biography

In Jamaica Keith Stewart and Enid Cumberland recorded as a duo throughout the early 60s. In 1961 they notched up a number of hits, ‘Only A Pity', ‘Never Leave Me Throne' and ‘What Have I Done'. In 1964 the duo recorded ‘Lost My Love', an early example of the new ska beat, produced by D Darling. Many of the singles were released in the UK, albeit marketed within the Jamaican community. By the mid-60s Cumberland found a new partner, Roy Richards, who joined her on ‘He'll Have To Go'. The single curiously featured an all-time ska classic, ‘Love Me Forever' by Carlton And His Shoe...
