Born Julian Keith Getty, Keith Getty is half of Keith & Kristyn Getty, who have emerged as two of the most prolific and popular writers of 21st century Christian hymns, including the modern classic "In Christ Alone." Born in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, Getty began playing classical guitar at the age of 11, and took up the flute at 12. He went on to study music at Durham University, graduating in 1995.
