Keith Sterling

b. Keith Sterling-Mcleod, January 1952, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. Sterling comes from a musical family and his older brothers have all been involved in the Jamaican recording industry. Lester played alto saxophone in the Skatalites, Roy was a trumpeter with Lynn Tait And The Jets and Gladstone also played in the horn section. Keith Sterling's supporting role led to work on the hotel circuit along Jamaica's north coast and his eventual signing to Boris Gardiner's Happening band.
