Këkht Aräkh, a one-man extreme metal project helmed by Ukrainian artist Crying Orc (Dmitry Marchenko), traffics in a lethal, atmospheric blend of lo-fi black metal, folk, and dark-ambient electronic textures. Marchenko, who got his start playing drums in the post‑black‑metal band Cuckoo's Nest, founded Këkht Aräkh in 2018, which evolved from an earlier project, Yokai.
