Biography
A multifaceted jazz musician, pianist Kerry Politzer's recording output has included expressive contemporary jazz and, both solo and with her group Bossa PDX, Brazilian jazz. She often plays as part of a quartet or quintet, and her recording debut, 2001's Yearning, was a quintet outing. She started working regularly with George Colligan on drums beginning with her third album, 2005's Labyrinth. Politzer was accompanied by Colligan and saxophonist Donny McCaslin, among others, on 2010's Blue in Blue, and 2019's Diagonal was a tribute to Brazilian composer/musician Durval Ferrei...
