Kibi James

Kibi James' dreamy, bilingual dream pop is rooted in the deep bonds between the Georgia trio and their close-knit Atlanta community. Founded in 2018 and comprised of Mari (guitar, keys), MJ Corless (bass), and Pomi Abebe (drums), the group, who cite '90s indie pop and Japanese Shibuya-kei as inspirations, issued their debut EP, Azucar, independently in 2019. The release caught the attention of Brooklyn-based indie Bayonet Records, which added the band to its roster in 2022.
