Biography
Made up entirely of Asian-American women, the Chicago indie/math rock trio Kim features guitarist/vocalist Janet Kim, guitarist/vocalist Yanti Arifin, and drummer Mia Park. In 2001, shortly before completing their eponymous debut EP, the band was chosen to participate in the first Coke-sponsored New Music Awards contest for unsigned artists. ~ Steve Huey
