Introduced to music at an early age by her uncles who played jazz in an organ trio, Kim Prevost has emerged as one of the Crescent City's leading jazz and blues divas. She sung in her church choir, performing duets with the pastor, her father. At college, she studied dance and modeled. Prevost performed in musical comedy, with roles in Sweet Charity and Dreamgirls, as well as in a Cole Porter review under the direction of Allen Toussaint. Prevost has worked with George Howard, Bill Summers and the Walter Payton Trio.
