The soft indie pop sound of Kira was born when the Wuppertal, Germany native switched from violin lessons to guitar lessons. As soon as she touched the guitar she began writing intelligent pop songs, ignoring her schoolwork, and submitting her music to amateur songwriting competitions. One of these competitions was judged by producer Michael Hagel who soon convinced the songwriter to move to Hamburg.
