Best-known for their hit "Merengue Party," the Latin dance group Kontrol is essentially a vocal quartet led by Jochy Rey (b. Jose Feliz) and featuring Jaime Garcia, Wilbert Jorge, and Jose Pena. The group's style, Merenhouse, blends the merengue music that originated in the Dominican Republic with horn-dominated arrangements and club-oriented electronic dance beats.
