Born Laure Cohen in 1977, Koxie has undergone a fast evolution in the artistic field. She studied dance, created her own artistic school, and worked as a DJ on one of France's most commercially successful radio stations, yet -- in spite of this rather important experience -- she gained attention primarily through plays of "Garçon" on her MySpace page.
