Kristina Train

Singer/songwriter Kristina Train is a soulful vocalist with a bent toward earthy country- and R&B-inflected pop music. Born in New York City and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Train grew up singing in church and taking violin lessons. In 1999, she joined the soul outfit the Looters, often backing vocalist Rosa King on tour. At age 19, she attracted the attention of Blue Note Records, who wanted to sign her to a recording contract.
