La Barranca

Alternative rock band from Mexico City formed in 1995 by ex-Sangre Azteca guitarist José Manuel Aguilera and bassist Federico Fong, playing along with invited drummer Alfonso André and chorist Cecilia Toussaint. Inspired by bands such as King Crimson and Radiohead and looking for its own identity, la Barranca recorded their first album after getting a proposal from a small label called Opción Sonica in 1996.
