Biography
Rock band from La Plata, Argentina, las Canoplas was formed in 1982 by guitarist Carro, drummer Trilo, and guitar player Topi. Las Canoplas started being an underground act in their native city. In 1985, Andrés and bassist Milanesa joined in. The band came in first place at a contest called Nuevo Rock, recording a vinyl album produced by Mario Serra. BMG signed them up, releasing Batman in 1988. Las Canoplas came back in 1993 after a temporary breakup, releasing La Trayectoria del Boomerang in 1996 and Universo Aniversario in 1998. ~ Drago Bonacich
