American pop singer and actress Laura Marano found international fame portraying Ally on the Disney Channel sitcom Austin & Ally in the 2010s. Pivoting to music, she released her first single, "Boombox," on Big Machine Records in 2015 and issued her debut EP, ME, independently in 2019.
