Layton Howerton

Layton Howerton was born the son of pioneer missionary parents who traveled throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia. As a young child, Howerton was miraculously healed of leukemia. At the age of 19, he realized that God was calling him to become a pastor. However, he resisted the call and forged ahead toward his own plans of a musical career. Finally at the age of 36, Howerton surrendered, deciding to pursue his pastoral calling. He moved his wife and five kids from Nashville, TN, to Wyoming.
