Laze & Royal

The sons of latter-day Platters member Elmer Armstrong, twin brothers Bennett Armstrong (Laze) and Justyn Armstrong (Royal) are a self-contained songwriting and production duo who, as grade schoolers, caught the attention of producer Christopher "Tricky" Stewart. As 2XL, they recorded 2007's Neighborhood Rapstar, an album released on Tommy Boy that featured some production assistance from Scott Storch and a pair of guest appearances from E-40.
