Rock music greats like Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix are some of the early influences that caused a young Detroit native named Lemon James to learn to play the guitar. She was a natural, but soon found she didn't like many of the guitars available to her at the time. In 1989, she solved that problem by building her own guitar and doing it exactly as she wanted.
