Deriving their name from a fateful combination of magnetic poetry words, Pittsburgh, PA's Life in Bed formed in 2001 with ex-Manifold Splendour members Sean Finn, Bill Merante, Craig Svitek, and David Horn. The latter left the group early on, just before Life in Bed recorded their debut album, and was replaced by bassist Christopher James.
