Singer and songwriter Lizzy McAlpine is known for her intimately emotive sound, drawing up elements of folk-pop, jazz, and R&B. She found mainstream success in 2020 with her acclaimed debut album, Give Me a Minute. Exploring themes of heartbreak and resiliance, she cracked the Billboard 200 with both 2022's Five Seconds Flat and 2024's Older. Along with her music, McAlpine is an actress, having appeared on Broadway in a 2025 production of Floyd Collins and in season three of the TV drama School Spirits, for which she also released a 2026 cover of "House of the Rising Sun."
