Lorna Bennett

b. 1954, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. Bennett began her musical career singing in nightclubs. Prior to Geoffrey Chung's personal involvement in promoting Sharon Forrester, he recommended that Bennett should embark on a recording career. Inspired by her performance at the Epiphany nightclub, they recorded a version of ‘Morning Has Broken'. The single failed to generate a hit but impressed producer Harry J. , who in 1972 commissioned Chung to record Bennett's rendition of ‘Breakfast In Bed'.
