Biography
Punk rock/rockabilly outfit Los Difuntos were formed in East Los Angeles, CA, in 2003 by singer/guitarist Christian Torres, guitarist/singer Mike Medina, drummer Jacob Tidwell, and upright bass player Austin Missett. In 2006, they released their debut EP, Born, Raised and Passed Away in East L.A., on Rancid Records, a label owned by Tim Armstrong and Lars Fredericksen of Rancid. Los Difuntos opened for Rancid to promote the disc. They signed to Nickel and Dime Records for their first full-length LP, Los Difuntos, which was released on November 18, 2008. ~ William Ruhlmann
