Biography
The UK's entrants in the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest, dance/rap collective Love City Groove originally entered the competition ‘for a bit of a laugh'. Certainly their stylised but effusive distillation of the Stereo MC's formula proved an unexpected hit in the qualifying stages. Led by Beanz (b. Stephen Rudden), with fellow rappers Jay Williams, Paul Hardy and ‘Reason', the song, a half rapped/half sung affair also titled ‘Love City Groove', found favour in the UK charts.
