New York-based synth pop outfit Lovelife rose from the ashes of the U.K. indie rock band Brother, also known as Viva Brother, which split in 2012, midway through the recording of their second album. Vocalist Lee Newell, drummer Frank Colucci, and guitarist Sam Jackson moved to New York and started Lovelife later that summer with former Mirrors keyboardist Ally Young.
