Montreal-born folk singer/songwriter Lucie Blue Tremblay emerged on the Canadian music scene in the mid-'80s, offering songs with a strong message of peace, strength, and love sung in both English and French. Tremblay began performing as a child, playing drums in her mother's band and eventually teaching herself guitar and piano as she began to write her own songs.
