A gifted singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist whose work is rooted in vintage blues and jazz styles, Luke Winslow-King learned about music in a well-respected academic setting as well as by busking on the street. A traveling musician, Winslow-King found a home in New Orleans, Louisiana, when fate stranded him there in 2002. In the Crescent City, Winslow-King launched his recording career with a self-released and self-titled album in 2006 before cutting 2013's The Coming Tide, the first of a handful of well-regarded discs for Bloodshot Records.
