An army brat who moved around a lot growing up, Malcolm Jamaal Davis took the name MadeinTYO when it was time to start rapping publicly, looking to his time spent living in Tokyo, Japan as inspiration for the twist on "Made in Tokyo." Taking notes from his brother 24hrs, who was also a producer who rapped, Davis started the Private Club collective in the mid-2010s and had a breakthrough with his "Uber Everywhere" single in 2016.
