Mamak Khadem

b. c. 1958, Tehran, Iran. Trained in radif, a classical music genre of her native Iran, Khadem performed with the Iranian National Radio And Television Children's Choir. Moving to the USA in 1976 she studied at Ali Akbar Khan College of Music and with Nevenka. In Los Angeles in 1992, she joined Axiom Of Choice as lead singer, appearing in concert and on record, the latter including 1996's Beyond Denial, 2000's Niya Yesh and 2002's Unfolding.
