Best known for his association with the Mafia K'1 Fry collective, Manu Key is a pioneering French rapper who peaked in popularity during the late '90s and early 2000s. Born Manuel Coudray on March 28, 1975, in Guadeloupe, an overseas region of France in the Caribbean Sea, he hails from Orly, a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris. He began his rap career in the late '80s in tandem with Lil Jahson in the duo Posse Ideal.
