Marc Edwards

b. 23 July 1949, New York City, New York, USA. Percussionist and drummer Edwards received formal drum tuition from established players including Ted Reed and Alan Dawson. He played with various ensembles during his teenage years, including his local All City High School Band and the American Symphony Orchestra. He first came to notice with his notable contribution to Cecil Taylor's powerful Dark Unto Themselves in 1976. Edwards has recorded some of his most challenging work with David S.
