Pianist Marcantonio Barone is a specialist in contemporary music who has premiered works by George Rochberg and others and has appeared twice in the Bridge label's series, recording the complete works of George Crumb. He is also an important educator.
Barone was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, in 1962 and has spent much of his life in the Philadelphia area.
