Márcio Greyck

Márcio Greyck is one of few composers of the Jovem Guarda period to be more influenced by post-Sgt. Pepper's Beatles. After 1972, he became a romantic singer. Rarely noticed after the '80s, he had another period of visibility in the '90s thanks to the Jovem Guarda revival and for his album recorded for Roberto Menescal's label Albatrozz. He recorded his first composition, "Venha Sorrindo" (1967), that same year, had a national hit with "Minha Menina" (version by Antônio Carlos Wallace) of Lennon/McCartney's "Eleanor Rigby," and had his first LP released.
