Marianne Flemming was born and raised in sunny Florida. She began her musical training in both piano and guitar when she was only nine years old, inspired by her father, who was a nightclub singer. By the time Flemming was 18, she was already performing at local bars, and impressing audiences with her music. As a young adult she attended the University of South Florida, where she studied Music Composition and Theater, earning a BA in the latter.
