Master Boot Record (MBR) is a chiptune- and classical-influenced avant-synth-metal project based out of Rome, Italy. Booting up in 2016, the group's ever-growing classic software- and video game-influenced discography has become known for housing cryptic puzzles and messages. The project stemmed from its unknown creator's work on the soundtrack to the cyberpunk point-and-click adventure game Virtuaverse, which was created by their development team Theta Division.
