Biography
b. 8 December 1952, Zurich, Switzerland. During the 70s Rüegg played piano with a variety of bands while studying composition and arranging in Graz and Vienna, where he eventually settled and formed the Vienna Art Orchestra (1977) and later the Vienna Art Choir (1983). Notable members of the Orchestra have included Wolfgang Puschnig, Roman Schwaller, Lauren Newton and Wolfgang Reisinger, and in the early 80s they won several big band awards and released acclaimed albums for the hatART label.
