Mathilde Etienne

French soprano Mathilde Etienne co-founded the Baroque opera company I Gemelli and has performed and recorded with the group. A major specialist in the music of Monteverdi, she is also active as an opera director, including in works from periods other than the Baroque. Etienne studied literature and the University of Poitiers in France and drama at the Royal Conservatory of Liège in Belgium before taking up opera singing.
