Bradford, England-born pop-reggae vocalist Melissa Steel broke out in July 2014, when she appeared on dance producer Kove's "Way We Are" and, only two weeks later, released her debut as a lead artist, the dancehall-flavored "Kisses for Breakfast" (which featured Popcaan). Both songs were commercially successful: the former reached number 30 on the U.K. pop chart, and then the latter quickly eclipsed it and topped out at number ten.
