Merz

Merz is the stage name of Conrad Lambert, a British singer/songwriter with an ear for unconventional arrangements. He issued his self-titled debut, an idiosyncratic mixture of pastoral folk with cutting-edge electronic beats and turntable scratching, on Epic in 1999. He resurfaced as an independent artist with the more stripped-down electro-folk effort Loveheart in 2005, and worked with artists such as Orbital's Paul Hartnoll, Matthew Herbert, and Leo Abrahams on his subsequent albums.
