While Derrick May went on to become an undeniable legend in the history of electronic dance music for his innovations as a techno artist and DJ, Mike James received little to no recognition for his contributions to May's timeless anthem, "Strings of Life." Of course, before the duo even produced the track, May had a reputation as a talented producer and reportedly handled the bulk of the production for "Strings of Life," though the occasional May critic does often raise the issue of James' contribution. ~ Jason Birchmeier
