Contemporary R&B songwriter, producer, and recording artist Mike Jay, who has been credited as Miguel Jiminez (his birth name), Michael Jiminez, Mike J, and Rico Law, was born in Detroit, Michigan and developed his talents as a youth in the church -- specifically Perfecting Church, with Marvin Winans as his pastor.
