Mike Polizze

Philly musician Mike Polizze toned down the ragged fuzz rock of his long-running Purling Hiss project when he decided to go solo. Instead of the grunge-informed loudness he was known for, Polizze offered up a mellow set of acoustic folk-rock on his 2020 solo debut, Long Lost Solace Find. Polizze moved from Media, Pennsylvania, to Philadelphia in 2004 and promptly started the band Birds of Maya.
