By all accounts, keyboardist/composer Mike Ratledge had a rather interesting and diverse career inside and outside of music since departing Soft Machine in 1976, and despite some of the negative experiences he appeared to have had with the band, there are few signs (in print anyway) that he looked back at his Softs years with tremendous disappointment or misgivings.
