After the breakup of Love Riot, Lisa Mathews and Mikel Gehl each found themselves transitioning into a new phase of their lives: parenthood. As a parent, Mathews found herself writing songs for her new daughter with her former bandmate Gehl, and with that, their songwriting partnership was reborn.
