Delivering midtempo indie pop with illustrative lyrics, Mo Kenney is a singer/songwriter from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She learned guitar at the age of 11 and went on to develop an interest in artists such as Death Cab for Cutie, Led Zeppelin, and Elliott Smith throughout her teens. By the age of 16, she was writing her own songs, her lyrics being influenced by the picturesque nature of director Wes Anderson's films.
