Mod Con

A three-piece punk outfit hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Mod Con were born out of leader Erica Dunn's previous project, Palm Springs. Sticking with the same lineup -- Dunn on vocals and lead guitar, Sara Retallick on bass, and Raquel Solier on drums -- but eschewing the more Americana-based sound of her previous band, Mod Con take their cue from the classic punk of the Slits and Patti Smith as well as their contemporaries, such as Savages and fellow Aussies Tropical Fuck Storm.
